Clutter-Free Day (CFD) is a day-long, regional recovery event that consists of CLA℠ speakers, workshops, and fellowship. It’s a place to hear recovery stories of experience, strength, and hope; tips for working the program; and strategies for decluttering. It’s an opportunity to meet other clutterers, share, and look for a buddy or sponsor.

CLA-East Intergroup usually holds an in-person CFD on a Saturday or Sunday in April or May. In even-numbered years, it’s usually in New York and in odd-numbered years, in New Jersey.

Although this CLA-East event has been via telephone conference these last two years, they look forward to the next  CFD being an in-person event once again.

The 2021 CLA-East Intergroup Clutter-Free Day, was held Saturday, May 15, from noon to 5 p.m. as a telephone conference. The theme was “Time is a precious gift, so we use it wisely”. The day started with a memorial tribute to a long-time CLA member which evoked many memories. Then a keynote speaker shared his experience, strength and hope in a way that reminded us to stay in the “now”. He was followed by several more inspiring speakers who presented workshops on a variety of topics. At the end of the presentations there was time for sharing contact information and catching up with one another.
